Why should I join PTA?

  1. It gives you the right to vote on issues affecting your child and your school.
  2. You will become a member of the largest child advocacy network in the United States.
  3. PTA sponsors and lobbies on behalf of many laws at the local, state, and national levels that affect the safety, welfare, and education of our children.
  4. Decisions made by the Florida PTA and the National PTA are influenced by local unit PTAs.
  5. Our Cordova Park PTA sponsors many fun and informative activities for students, parents, grandparents and teachers. We provide funding for projects throughout the year that directly enhance the learning environment for our children, such as: accelerated reader program, computer software, and Internet writing just to name a few.
